Denis Heraud: Live Painting at Cyrus Company's Showroom in SoHo this Thursday!

French artist Denis Heraud will be painting the last of his five-piece series called "The Cyrus Collection," live, this Thursday, July 1st at Cyrus Company's showroom at 57 Greene Street in Soho, from 6 to 10pm. A true renaissance artist, Heraud has explored and succeeded in a variety of artistic ventures. With an admirable drive that has been enhanced by a bit of luck, Heraud arrived in Paris at the age of sixteen only to shoot a movie that very first day with actors Jean Paul Belmondo and Raquel Welch.

A former clothing designer, Parisian Sylvie Guieysse took a flair for pattern and the combining of abstract concepts, and applied it to creating pillows. Designing pillows was a natural evolution for Sylvie, as the final fusion of patterns, textures and colors held more of an attraction to the designer than the shape of the creation itself. It is not enough to read about them though, you must see these pillows that more resemble the canvas of an artist than our pre-conceived notion of a pillow.
